Role Description

We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant to join our Statutory Audit team in Hyderabad. The role involves working on end-to-end audit engagements for companies across industries, supporting the team in delivering high-quality, compliant audits. It is a strong launchpad for a recently qualified CA, with direct exposure to clients, financial statements, and the full audit lifecycle.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Execute substantive and analytical audit procedures under the guidance of seniors and managers.
  • Vouch and verify transactions, test internal controls, and document working papers as per firm and SA (Standards on Auditing) requirements.
  • Assist in preparation and review of financial statements as per applicable framework (Ind AS / AS) and Schedule III of the Companies Act, 2013
  • Perform ledger scrutiny, ratio analysis, and identify unusual or high-risk transactions.
  • Support compliance checks across Income Tax, GST, TDS, and Companies Act requirements relevant to the audit.
  • Maintain audit documentation and ensure timely closure of assigned sections.
  • Coordinate with client finance teams to obtain data, reconciliations, and supporting evidence.
  • Flag observations and potential audit issues to seniors promptly.

Qualification & Eligibility

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) (recently cleared, both groups)
  • Experience: 1 year of post-qualification experience; freshers welcome
  • Completed articleship in audit/assurance preferred.

Skills

  • Sound knowledge of statutory audit procedures and applicable financial reporting frameworks (Ind AS / AS)
  • Strong grasp of Standards on Auditing and the Companies Act, 2013
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and working knowledge of accounting/audit software (Tally, audit tools, etc.)
  • Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a methodical approach to documentation.
  • Good written and verbal communication; ability to interact professionally with clients.
  • Willingness to travel for fieldwork and to meet engagement deadlines.
